Cookies

We use "cookies" (small files placed on your hard drive) on certain pages of the Site to help us to remember you when you return. A few important things you should know about cookies are that:
• We use cookies to help identify you and maintain your signed-in status.

• Most of the cookies we use are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of a session.

• You are always free to decline our cookies if your browser permits, although doing so may interfere with your use of the Site (ie. some of our sites may not allow you to complete certain activities if cookies are disabled).

• You may encounter cookies from third parties on certain pages of the Site that we do not control. For example, (1) if you view a web page created by another user, there may be a "cookie" placed by that web page; (2) third party display advertisements may use their own cookies to collect non-personally identifiable information from you.  Advertisers use this information to target the ads and measure their impact.

We may also use multiple third parties to monitor web traffic, statistics, advertisement ‘click-through’, and other activities on FundingPix site(s).  Where authorized by FundingPix, such third parties may use cookies, our web log files, and other monitoring technologies to compile anonymous aggregate statistics on FundingPix site visitors.

Current versions of browsers offer enhanced user controls regarding the placement and duration of both first and third party cookies.  Look to your browser’s menu for more information on cookie management features available to you.

No Spam, Spyware or Spoofing

You are not licensed to add other FundingPix users, even a user who has contributed to your event, to your mail list (email or physical mail) without their express consent. You may not use our email tools to send spam or otherwise send content that would violate our Terms of Service Agreement and/or Terms of Use. We do filter and automatically scan messages before they are sent for viruses and other illegal or prohibited content but do not permanently store email messages sent through these tools. If you send an email to an email address that is not registered with FundingPix (via Email a Friend or other tool), we do not permanently store that email or use that email address for any marketing purpose. We do not rent or sell these email addresses.

Account Protection

Your password is the key to your account. Use unique numbers, letters, and special characters and do not disclose your FundingPix password to anyone. If you do share your password or your personal information with others, remember that you are responsible for all actions taken in the name of your account. If you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personal information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately notify FundingPix and change your password.

Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information

We need your help in making sure your personal information is correct in our systems.  You may make updates yourself or, if you are unable to make updates yourself, please notify us of your changes.

Security

Your information is stored on our servers located in the United States. We treat data as an asset that must be protected and use lots of tools (encryption, passwords, physical security, etc.) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure. However, as you probably know, third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications, and other users may abuse or misuse your personal information that they collect from the Site. Therefore, although we work very hard to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personal information or private communications will always remain private.

Third Parties

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. Since FundingPix does not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

For example, we may provide links to third-party sites or users may post links to third-party sites.  Since we do not control these sites (ie. Web sites), we encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on these (and all) third-party sites.

General

We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting the amended terms on the Site. All amended terms automatically take effect upon the later of: (a) immediately upon posting on the site or (b) earliest date permitted by law.

Note to Parents

Use of the Site by children (permitted under the Terms of Use with parental consent and supervision) does not require disclosure of any personal information about the child, and FundingPix does not wish or intend for any child to provide personally identifiable data to FundingPix or any of its event pages throughout the Site.

Likewise, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.  If we learn that we have personal information on a child under the age of 13, we will delete that information from our systems.  FundingPix encourages parents to go online with their kids.  Here are a few tips to help make a child’s online experience safer:

•Teach kids never to give personal information, unless supervised by a parent or responsible adult. Includes name, address, phone, school, etc.

•Know the sites your kids are visiting and which sites are appropriate.

•Look for Web sites privacy policies.  Know how your child’s information is treated.

Check out the FTC’s site for more tips on protecting children’s privacy online.
